🎨 Section 1: About ColorFig & Figments

Q: What is a Figment?
A: A Figment is our name for a 3D-printed figurine kit. Each one arrives ready to paint, straight from our printers to your hands.

Q: Who are ColorFig kits for?
A: We make kits for all ages—Sprout (ages 3–6), Spark (ages 7–11), Studio (teens & adults), and Signature (custom, commemorative creations).

Q: Do I need special tools or skills?
A: Nope! Each kit is designed to be beginner-friendly. All you need is the included paint set and a little imagination.

📦 Section 2: What’s in the Box?

Q: Do you ship paint and brushes with every kit?
A: Yes! Every Figgy Solo and Figgy Jam comes with paints and brushes sized to the age group. Studio and Signature sets feature finer brushes for detail work.

Q: Will my kit come fully assembled?
A: Absolutely. All Figments arrive as one solid piece—no tricky assembly or glue required.

Q: Is the material safe for kids?
A: Yes. We print with PLA, a plant-based plastic that’s non-toxic and safe for handling.

🖌 Section 3: Painting & Creativity

Q: Can I use my own paints?
A: Definitely! While we include age-appropriate acrylic paints, many artists love adding their own palette.

Q: Are the paint zones easy for kids to follow?
A: Yes. Sprout kits feature chunky outlines to guide little hands, while Spark and Studio sets offer more intricate detail.

Q: What if I make a mistake while painting?
A: That’s the fun of it—there are no mistakes, only imagination! Acrylics can be painted over once dry, so you can keep experimenting.

🚚 Section 4: Ordering, Shipping & Returns

Q: How long does it take to get my order?
A: Most Figments ship within 3–5 business days. Custom Signature pieces may take longer since we print them just for you.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: At launch, we’re shipping within the U.S. only. International shipping is on our roadmap!

Q: What if my Figment arrives damaged?
A: Rare, but it happens. If your kit is damaged in transit, we’ll replace it at cost—just reach out with a photo.

🎁 Section 5: Gifts, Parties & Subscriptions

Q: Do you offer party packs?
A: Yes! Our Figgy Jam (10-pack) is perfect for birthdays, classrooms, or craft nights.

Q: Can I give a Figment as a gift?
A: Absolutely. We offer digital gift cards and quarterly subscription boxes for surprise creativity all year.

Q: Do you customize Figments for special occasions?
A: Our Signature line lets you request bespoke designs—ideal for weddings, milestones, or corporate gifts.

🛠 Section 6: Materials & Making

Q: What materials are Figments printed with?
A: We use eco-friendly PLA filament—durable, lightweight, and paint-ready.

Q: How durable are they?
A: Each model is designed to withstand handling. Sprout and Spark lines are extra chunky for little painters, while Studio allows finer details.

Q: Do you recycle materials?
A: Sustainability is part of our roadmap. We’re piloting eco-packaging and exploring filament recycling options in the near future.

🎨 Paint Safety & Materials FAQ

Q — Are the paints in ColorFig kits safe for kids?
✅ Yes! We use Plaid Apple Barrel Matte Acrylic Craft Paint, a water-based, non-toxic paint formulated for craft use. It meets OSHA and CPSC safety standards and carries no acute or chronic health hazards.

Q — Does it contain any harmful chemicals or heavy metals?
No. The Apple Barrel line contains no lead, mercury, or known carcinogens, and is not classified as hazardous or flammable. It’s certified safe for typical craft handling.

Q — What happens if a child gets paint on their skin or clothes?
The paint is washable with soap and water while wet. For dry paint, gentle scrubbing or pre-treating with detergent usually removes residue.

Q — Is it safe if accidentally ingested?
While not intended for consumption, small accidental contact (like a finger to mouth) is not expected to cause harm. Rinse the mouth and call your local Poison Control Center (U.S. 1-800-222-1222) if larger amounts are swallowed.

Q — Does it have any fumes or strong odors?
No. It’s a low-odor, water-based formula—no special ventilation or protective gear is required.

Q — How should leftover paint be stored or disposed of?
Keep tightly closed at room temperature. Do not pour large quantities down the drain—allow leftovers to dry, then dispose with household trash per local guidelines. The paint is not classified as hazardous waste.
